Karen Snyder (KYS Realm), MFA is a Transmedia Producer, Author, Director and Full-Motion Video Game Producer. She has over 12 years of experience in developing and creating multi-media and transmedia projects through Kazap Company, her transmedia production studio.
She is the Visionary and Creator of Transmedia Realm, a software platform which blends social video game mechanics with narrative to allow authors to BUILD, DISTRIBUTE, and ENGAGE fans in multi-media story worlds. Don’t just read a story--engage with it!
As KYS REALM, she is the creator of the world’s first transmedia romance series, The Elements Club. The Elements Club is filmed on location at Heritage Square Museum.
One of only a hand-full of full-motion video game producers focused on the casual game space, in late 2015 she launched The Elements Club: Unity Match video game--the world’s first full-motion match-3 video game.
As a finalist for GamesBeat 2013 Who’s Got Game Innovation Showdown, she presented her vision for narrative video games. In March 2016, she led a panel on Full-Motion Video Game development at SXSW.
As of February 2016, she is joining forces with Jon Lindgren, an award-winning broadcast producer, to create a new production company, Trans Seven Studio, to cultivate more full-motion video games and transmedia broadcast offerings.
She has a B.S. in Business Administration from Capella University and a Masters in Fine Arts in Digital Media from Full Sail University.
